Thoughts and prayers to Elmer’s family. I retain good memories from time spent working at Denis Knull in the early 80’s and meeting all the surrounding farmers and their families.

We are just preparing to watch the virtual funeral for Elmer this afternoon. Such a kind and generous man. He would welcome me back to Wiesenthal with a warm handshake and a big smile. I remember Elmer as a contributor wherever he was: church, cemetery, Millet curling…everywhere. Elmer and Darlene were great friends of my Mom and Dad-they were all part of the hard working, humble and supportive community which was so special.

My sincere sympathy on the passing of your dad and grandpa. Elmer was a favourite cousin to me. We enjoyed many good visits over the years and always felt so at home with each other. I will truly miss our frequent phone calls. He was a one of a kind friend to me.
