Dorothy Ann Guthrie (nee Bell)

We lost Dorothy at the age of 87, and 1 day past her 68th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Carl.

Together they shared years of travel and both loved to golf. Dorothy spent her last few years living at Canterbury Manor in Edmonton and at Miquelon Lake in the summer.  Miquelon was where Dorothy loved to be and would join Carl on the golf course and spend time sitting on her favourite swing to listen to the birds.

Dorothy was very creative and loved to add a splash of color to all of her artistic endeavours. She loved to garden and prepared fabulous wholesome meals and generated beauty with her love of flowers.

The family will hold a private celebration of her amazing life.

Any donations can be given to The Alzheimer’s Society or Salvation Army.

Carl and family. I have happy memories of Dorothy welcoming Murray into your home to share the fun of the ranch and puppies and roast beef buns at your dinner table when the boys were little scamps. I send my deepest sympathies.

Dear Mr. Guthrie and family,
It is with great sadness that we offer our deep condolences.
Mrs. Guthrie was always very friendly and supportive of us during our time at the Edmonton Petroleum Club. She always had kind words for the staff many of whom spoke very kindly of her.
With fond memories Ilario and Annie
