So very sorry to hear of Donnie’s death. We always were glad to have a visit from Donnie and Jean when they were home to N.B. And many years ago I visited with my Mother (Betty Harnett) and stayed with Donnie and Jean for a few days. I will always remember our visit to the zoo with Donnie, and he managed to get us their at animal meal time. The zoo keeper let Donnie feed a baby bear a bottle of milk, which was a treat for us to see. He was one of my favorite of Dad’s friends, as he always had a smile!
Sincere sympathies

My deepest sympathy Jean and your family in Don’s passing. Not sure if you remember me but Don was a friend of my husband Karl McAughey. They had coffee together. I know he will be deeply missed

My heart is heavy too and I send my love and thoughts and prayers and wish I could be there with you. Donnie was a great brother and although we lived far apart we stayed close through our many telephone calls. He had a big heart and was always ready to help anyone who needed it. He loved his family dearly and he was loved in return. He had many friends down through the years as well and he will be greatly missed by them as well as his family. Children loved him and he was never too busy.for them. He loved animals and spent much time with them on the farm.It just seems it was meant to be that his passing took place there. My family and I will miss him greatly but he will live on in our hearts.

His Sister Jewel.

Lovely article. It’s so sad that he left us quite suddenly. I must absolutely agree with the person who posted before me.. There is a lot of family missing. Not sure if there was some sort of mistake but I know it would break their hearts to not be included. Please fix as soon as possible. My sincerest condolences.

Don also had a daughter Pam, a son Jamie, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren that were not included in this article!
