Joan and family, I worked with Dennis for my whole career, he as a controller and DSC, and I was a b-stand. He was always friendly, and we had many chats over the years. In later years if we were ordering food, we could always count on Dennis to join us. Didn’t matter our pay grade,Dennis was a good friend to all!

Dennis was one of those special people who made everyone feel welcome. I knew him from several CATCA conventionsin the 90s and when we arrived in Edmonton in 97 after our forced transfer from Moncton, he helped us all feel like we belonged there. I had many “sessions” with Dennis in his role as CATCA prairie VP when I was Edmonton Branch Chair and he was always so focused on the people he represented, it made my job so much easier. RIP my friend. In the arms of Christ

My condolences to Joan and family. I doubt I’ll be able to find the words to express how sad this makes me. I’m in England at the moment and won’t be able to attend Dennis’s service to share in the laughter and the tears as you share your memories with each other. In my mind Dennis had an amazing ability to truly connect with people so that you always felt heard and valued.
Rest In Peace my friend and cookie dealer.

To Joan and your family, my deepest condolences for your loss. It really shook me. I knew Dennis for a very long time, some 49 years. I spent about 20 years of that travelling around attending CATCA meetings with him in his many capacities in CATCA. Never have I met a nicer man, advisor, gentleman or friend. He was respected by everyone who knew him. When he spoke you listened. One of his greatest accomplishments was presiding over CATCA conventions as Chairman. A daunting task for anyone but he always managed to find a way out of difficult challenges. I will always think of him as Mr. Chairman. You will be sorely missed!! RIP my friend.

I was so sad to hear the sad news. Dennis has been one of my favourite people since I first came to know him through our bookstore. He always had time for a short chat about both of our favourite topics – the gospel. He was kind and thoughtful and sensitive to things of the spirit and so quick to tear up .
His face was made for smiling, and one rarely saw him without one. I have fond memories of many of our discussions, and was happy to see him whenever our paths crossed after I left the store.
So glad I got to know him. He made the world a better place for being in it.
My heart breaks for his family at this time. Thank goodness for the doctrinal truth that families can be together forever. My prayers are with you Joan, and your kids.
Warmly
Cindy Suelzle

To Joan and all of your children and grand children. Please know that Joyce and I were devastated to learn of our good friends passing. We shall always have the great memories of the weekend we stayed with you folks and the few days you spent with us during your visit to the Maritimes. Dennis was a very special person. He was like the brother I never had. Joyce and I shall miss him greatly.
