Hi Marcella,
It has been many years since we were friends in DV. Sorry for you loss.

My Sincere Sympathy to the family, I had many visits with
with Carl & Ella when they lived in Entwistle & Drayton Valley. Also attended the same church. Admired her when she learned to play the according at a later years.

What a loss earthlings have felt with the passing of Ella. She was an inspiration in so many ways. In spite of her limited vision and limited mobility she actively attended and participated in so many local community/surrounding area functions. She gave us a great challenge at bowling both age and mobility-wise. One of her most enjoyed times was attending Scotty Woods fiddle concerts. As a treat to herself, she thoroughly enjoyed a coffee and burgar at Wendy’s or A & W and conversation with anyone. A better friend and companion would be hard to find! Deepest sympathy to all her family. May many fond memories keep her always close in your hearts just as many good memories will keep her always in my heart .
Sincerely,
Bernie Fietz

My deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved mom. I was blessed to be your mom’s hairdresser for the past few years, she was very missed when she moved in August. During Covid 19 I use to bring her stuff from Church to her. She was one of the kindest souls I have had the pleasure to know. My thoughts and prayers are with you, may your precious memories bring you comfort. Rest is peace my dear Ella.

Wetaskiwin Twilighters Visionary Support Group

With broken hearts and falling tears we learn of dear Ella’s passing. She was such an integral part of Wetaskiwin Twilighters Visionary Support Group, the Wetaskiwin Wednesday afternoon Seniors’ bingo bunch, the Millet Seniors’ flooring league, and for many years she and her special friend Owen spent many nights of dancing at many surrounding dance functions. Limited sight and limited mobility did not deter either of them from living a very active and community supportive life for which they are to be highly commended! Ella was always ready to attend a music concert – sacred or country/western -, and a game of cribbage was always welcome. Ella was a great companion to go to a casino occasionally. Her great sense of humor and acts of friendship turned many a cloudy day into sunshine, and many a depressive mood was turned into gayity. We thank God for blessing her with such a long active life and she will be so sorely missed by everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace, made whole, and safe in the arms of her Lord who she loved dearly and worshipped regularly.
Sincerely,
Wetaskiwin Twilighters Visionary Suport Group
