Debbie Murphy

-

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a special woman with a gentle soul and a helpful heart who we were so blessed to know and to call our family. Debbie Murphy has gone to join her parents, Marj (2004) and Harvey Murphy (2007) at rest. Debbie will be thought of often and with much love by her partner of many years Pat Wolfe, her sisters, Anne Hrychuk (Jerry), Marjorie Murphy (Doug), Barb Gaetz (Warren), Joanie Murphy (Jason), brothers Richard Murphy and John Murphy (Joan). Also missing Debbie are her many nieces and nephews, extended family and her special friends Pud her cat and Buster her dog.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Debbie’s loved ones. I have a lot of fond memories of Debbie growing up. One is when Debbie and Vess sprayed painted an old truck with a whole bunch of words about me for my 18th birthday. They displayed this truck in the parking lot where we went for my birthday. It was embarrassing for me and funny at the same time. I am thankful she shared that day with me. I also remember the goats. I remember the goats caused a lot of trouble. Lol.
I am sad that Debbie and I never stayed in touch in the later years. She was always in my thoughts through the years. I am sad I never got to say “see you later” one more time. May everyone have comfort knowing they have one precious angle looking over them.

The Debbie I first met was an amazing EMT, who later became a fantastic Paramedic. Debbie was always very kind and compassionate to all of her patients. Throughout the years I was very fortunate to enjoy a friendship with Debbie. With her quick wit, Debbie would often leave me laughing. Debbie was always very direct, and didn’t mince words, something I really appreciated about her. Debbie’s love of animals was very clear, especially her dogs, goats and sheep. Even that crazy “Jake” the four horned sheep, who we wrested more than once, as he charged us while walking through the pasture. I have very fond memories of Debbie and send my heartfelt sympathy to all those special in her life.
