I have just learned of Dawn’s death today, while visiting the Lloydminster campus of Lakeland College. I knew Dawn when she worked there and am saddened to hear of her passing. I don’t recall any times when I did not see her with that wonderful smile whether she was scurrying down the hall to catch a faculty member, or when she was patiently assisting a, a demanding or needy student, or when she was conferring with a fellow colleague in the office. She was always willing to be involved in staff activities , and had some of the best ideas for HOSE, our campus staff get togethers. Dawn he was always ready to dress up for Hallowe’en; and she had some of the best recipes for our Soup Day contests each year. .She was so dynamic and creative, and I remember when she started her own business, Dawn he was always eager to show us her ideas.! I remember how excited she was to open the door of your “den” at your beautiful home – she had painted it a particular shade of forest green with a matching border – did it have ducks on it? I can’t recall; but we all thought it was perfect! There were a lot of us having a fantastic “ladies get together”at the house that particular day, with toasted pita bread and different dips she wanted us to try. My husband also worked at the college, and I remember him thinking very highly of Dawn, also. She was so accepting of everyone! What nice memories I have of your, kind, interesting and vibrant wife and mother. I extend my deepest sympathies to you.
