Born June 5th, 1929 in Drumheller, the youngest of 3 children. She moved to Calgary in her teens and to Edmonton as an adult. She passed away November 26th, 2020 in the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Elinor is survived by her husband Arthur; daughters Melanie (Peter), Diane (Arley), Kathleen (Roger), Mary Elizabeth (Bruce); 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Eldon Merrill Rogers and son-in-law Richard Tait.
Elinor attended Business College in San Francisco in 1949. After a 3 year program, she obtained a Dressmaking Certificate at NAIT in 1973 and a year later another in Custom Dressmaking. She was a Life Master bridge player and loved dancing and reading.
The family wishes to thank Diane Perkins and the staff of Ward 7Y for their excellent care during Elinor’s years there.
