David Edward Luneng passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms at home on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. He was a member of the local Elks and an RCMP, Troop LF-14, in 1953/54. He will be well remembered for his kindness, generosity, charm and sense of humour. He loved his family and friends dearly. He loved life and was active until his last days. Whether he was walking his daily miles at the track, fixing doors at the local A&W or visiting friends at the neighboring farms, he made friends everywhere he went. He will be lovingly remembered and tremendously missed by his wife of 43 years, Helen Luneng, their children, Dwight (Debbie), Debbie (Mike) James, Penni (Kim) MacKenzie, Joe (Cheryl) Luneng and David (Tammy) Luneng, grandchildren, Richard, Kirsten (Mike), Matthew, Nathan, Shawntelle (Ryan), Bailey (Cory) and Aaron and great-granddaughter, Alexis, as well as by the many friends and lives of people he’s touched along his journey. In honour of Dave, memorial contributions may be made directly to the Drayton Valley Heath Services Foundation – CT Scanner, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.
