DARNEL, Jocelan

It is with great sadness, the family of Jocelan Darnel announce her passing, she passed peacefully in her home in Fort Saskatchewan, with her husband and family and friends.

Jocelan was born on May 17, 1958, to Parents Brian & Mary Avison of Edmonton. Joc was born in England, and immigrated to Canada in January 1967, she was passionate about her heritage, and stayed connected to her family in the UK.

Jocelan is survived by her Husband of 44 Years, Barrie, children Dena-Lea, Sharie (Corbin), James, Troy & Jarrett. Parents Brian & Mary, Brother Tim (Kathleen), Sister Suzanne (Steve)
10 grandkids, 1 great granddaughter, many nieces & nephews, and Family in England & B.C.

In 1977 Jocelan married Barrie, they were devoted parents, and foster parents they fostered children for 32 years and over 75 children, 4 of the children they adopted, to making a total of 5 Children. Jocelan was a devoted mother, you could find her volunteering for the kid’s schools, or an active member of girl guides and was Brown Owl to many. Joc was also an active member of the block parent association.

Jocelan loved crafting, knitting, crocheting, she spent many hours sitting with her friends’ making cards or scrapbooking, she took pride in sending handmade cards by Joc on special occasions.

A Celebration of Life us Planned for the summer 2022, at the family lake lot, Lac la Nonne.
