CZIRFUSZ, Tony

On June 12, 2021 Tony Czirfusz of Leduc, AB passed away peacefully at the age of 88.  Tony will be forever loved and truly missed by his wife of 25 years, Marie; fondly remembered by his step-family: Marie’s children Greg (Betty-Anne), Joyce (Boyd) and Toni (Earle) and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by siblings Theresa, Frank (Margaret) and Mike (Lydia), as well as his many nieces and nephews who will cherish their memories of Uncle Tony.

Tony was known for his friendliness, his sense of humour, quick wit and of course his love of dancing that he shared with Marie.  The diminutive couple entertained many on the dance floor over the years with their old-time dance steps.  They were never hard to pick out on a crowded dance floor.  In 1999, Tony and Marie had the honour of representing their zone in the Alberta Summer Games in Olds, AB in the Dance Category.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderfully kind care Tony received from the doctors and nurses of Unit 22 at the Leduc Hospital, as well as many friends and family who have sent messages of support during this time.

A Memorial Service honouring Tony’s life will be announced at a later date.  For those who wish to make a charitable donation in Tony’s name, we hope you will consider doing so to the Telford House Senior Citizens Centre, Leduc, AB or Parkinson’s Association of Alberta.
