Cory, Tamara Simone

With the deepest of sadness, the family of Tamara Cory announce her untimely passing on June 11, 2017.

Tamara will be lovingly remembered by her handsome and courageous son Braden; her beautiful and talented daughter Carson; her loving and devoted husband Neil; her extended family in Saskatoon (including her parents and brother and Neil’s parents, brothers, niece, nephews and sisters-in-law).

Tamara had large extended families in the education and dance community. She was always willing to spend extra time with students that needed and were willing to accept her help. She formed many special bonds with current and former students and co-workers who have remained her dearest and closest friends.

Outside of work, Tamara was a devoted dance mom with a large and loving extended dance family. Always organized and ready with answers for those who needed her. Supporting Carson’s dance journey brought her so much joy and pride.

A Celebration of her Life will be held for Tamara on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm from Serenity Funeral Chapel 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, AB.

Getting to know Tamara and Carson through the girls duet while competing in Germany was a true pleasure. Tamara was a great partner (mom) very supportive and encouraging to the girls. We developed a special relationship we hold closely. We were deeply saddened by the news of her passing. We have thought of you so often.
Tamara will be greatly missed by her dance family.

Fred and Lee, I am so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. Tamara’s legacy will live on through your beautiful grandchildren Braden and Carson. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

In this sorrowful time, May Lord bless you and your family with comfort to ease the pain. Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family. May eternal peace be granted on the departed soul.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us… He only takes the BEST…
Whenever you need, I’ll be right here for you Carson xoxo

Words seem so feeble, in moments like these. Life is so precious, and death such a thief. The depth of your pain I cannot comprehend. But I’ll stand alongside you, in the darkness my friend. Love is a bond that death cannot part. Gone from your arms but still held in your heart.
