Hi Everyone!
I’ve decided to take a trip! As you’re all well aware of how much I love my adventures, and this one is no exception. I spent my entire life preparing for this one, which should come as no surprise because it seems like every vacation I’ve taken took forever for me to prepare for. Hahaha, I’m being facetious. Where am I going? I’m so glad you asked. I’m going to heaven, in fact, I already have my wings. God blessed me with three wonderful days to visit with loved ones before I left on my journey. I was overwhelmed with the love that everyone gave to me. I left on February 2, just as the sun was about to set. It was such a peaceful departure. I was surrounded by my family, and would you believe they played music, prayed, and sang for me? I cannot believe how much my little family has grown. Who would have thought when Mel and I met in Penticton all those years ago, we would go on to have not only three wonderful children, Shayne (Shauna), Shelley (Paul) (former husband, Mike), and Clint (Julia), but so many grandkids as well! Nicholas, Layne, Eve, Porter, Sylvie, Owen, Eden, Parker and Avery were all such wonderful blessings!
I grew up with three brothers, Blair (Betty), Ken (Lani) and Kevin (Val) whom I loved deeply. I was heartbroken when my Dad Henry; Mom Harriet and little brother Kevin went on their journey to Heaven before me, but now I am so excited to see them!
I had a wonderful life full of joy and love. What else could I ask for? Be happy and share all the love I had for you with all your friends and family. That would be a great way to celebrate my life. Take care everyone and I do love you with all my heart.

Dear Mel and family,
Our deepest condolences to you and your family.
Barb was full of life and laughter and she spread her love and hugs wherever she went. I feel so lucky to have had her as my cousin. I cherish the memories we shared, starting from our childhoods in Edmonton to walks and talks in Victoria, BC, and more recently in Arizona.

Thinking of you all. Barb’s beautiful smile, friendly nature and infectious spirit are endearing qualities that come to mind. Loved how she could light up an arena with her cheering . She may have spread her wings but….
When someone we love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure…
When you lose some one you love, you gain an angel you know…
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near and
loved.

Although I haven’t seen Barb very often over the last few years I will definitely miss her and her electrifying personality. Great memories of when she came to Calgary or the farm for a week or so during summer vacation. My prayers will be with you as you say goodbye
