COLBY, Terrance “Terry” Brian

COLBY, Terrance “Terry” Brian

It is with immense heartache that we announce the passing of our beloved big brother, Terry Colby, affectionately known as “Uncle T” to many of his family members. Terry’s quick wit, sharp mind and sense of humour made him the life of every gathering. Never one to miss an opportunity to celebrate or support his family and friends, he made time for everyone in his life.

Terry is survived by his lifelong sweetheart of 46 years, wife Judy Colby (nee Carlsen); Brother Milo (Shirley) Colby; Sister-in-Law Heather; Sister Susan (Bruce) Aquin; Sister Lisa (Bob) Thompson; Sister Connie (Roy) Hinz; Brother-in-Law Randie (Maureen) Carlsen as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Terry was predeceased by his parents: Gordon and Wilma; Brother Harris; Brother Douglas, Nephew Travis as well as many relatives and friends.

As per Terry’s request, there will not be a funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 10123 99 St NW #710, Edmonton, AB T5J 3H1 in Terry’s memory.

“We are sending deepest sympathys to everyone in the Colby family. We have had 50 wonderful years of friendship with Terry and Judy. They have always been more like our brother and sister than just friends. We have taken wonderful trips together, built several projects on the farm and spent much of our lives together. We can’t believe you are gone. We miss you so much every day. You gave us so many memorable pictures of family and happy times. Rest now, the fight is done. “The ones we love are never gone, they live in our hearts”. John & Lois Malysh”

Worked with Terry for many years at BRE Electric and Angus Lift. Never a dull day with Terry around. So many good times and he always had a joke to tell. Lunch time crib games were the best! You will be missed my freind!
