As a colleague of Bill’s in the Better Choices Better Health education program with AHS, I am going to miss Bill’s genuine, kind, knowledgeable and humorous approach to delivery of our classes. I looked forward to working with Bill as I always knew he had the best interests of our participants at heart. He also had a zest for life that would be hard to match. My sincere condolences to his family and friends for your loss. The community as a whole has lost a truly dedicated champion. Rest in peace my friend.

Sending my love and condolences to the Climie family and to all of Bill’s friends and students. The fitness community mourns the loss of an excellent, knowledgeable and genuine instructor. As a colleague of Bill’s, I can attest to the amazing connections he created with his students, always making it his priority to find ways to get people moving, and for always coming up with unique ways to make exercising fun. While we are all very sad about this tragic loss, know that our fitness community will make Bill proud by keeping his students moving and active. Rest in peace Bill – know that you will always be remembered.

Bill was a former AHS co-worker in a Senior’s community outreach exercise program from which many of us Instructors kept in touch and helped each other out with classes at various Seniors facilities throughout Edmonton. Bill had a superb work ethic and was passionate about and dedicated to improving the mobility and quality of life for Seniors through exercise. His sudden passing came as an incredible shock and I am terribly sad to hear of it. My sincere condolences to Bill’s extended family, the many Edmonton Seniors whose lives he touched, and all of his friends in his dog and horse training circles. I am so happy for Bill that he did a lot of travelling the past few years, including trips of a lifetime to Egypt and Scotland. Rest in Peace Bill. Keep them moving and motivated up there. Dana

Bill was the instructor for our ‘Strong and Stable” class at the St Albert Senior Centre. He touched many lives with his vibrant, fun-loving nature. His stories were ever entertaining; his love of animals so evident, his passion for travel, friends, loved ones and food (haggis!!!) was a fun aspect to his persona. His expertise and his dedication to training us to be more ‘strong and stable’ always motivated me to show up for his classes. Although I never knew him personally, he did touch my life deeply. He taught me more than I can express and I will miss his presence in my world. He was my favourite fitness instructor. Loving blessings to his family and friends,

Annette Tyrrell
