It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our most beloved Angel – Wife, Mother & Grandmother on July 4, 2020 after a courageous 49 day battle with ovarian and liver cancer. Her last few days on Earth she suffered terrible pain but has gone home into the safe arms of Our Lord.

Edie was born in Edmonton in 1955, Edith Faye Byers, and married John Michael Chesworth in 1976. Blessed with 2 children and 7 grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving Husband Michael (married 44 years); son Chris (Veronique) and their children:
Naddus, Hailey, Xavier-Loïc, Tristan and Felicity; daughter Amy Chesworth and her two children Hyatt and Kloey. She is also survived by her parents Art and Pearl Byers and younger brother Mark Byers (Harpdog). She was predeceased by her older sister Judy Tracey.

Edie was the foundation of our family and loved by all.

She spent her early work years as a Loans officer, and then as Children’s Ministry Director. She was a charter member of West Meadows Baptist Church.

Edie’s well-known passion for children was shown to us all in the 18 years she spent as a Children’s Ministry Director at both West Meadows Baptist Church and Renaissance Community Church.

Edie was an avid book reader and in the last few years a book reviewer.

Edie was an unsurpassed example of a Faith Filled person and her Love for God was evident with everyone who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date to be announced.

Our Family has appreciated your Love and Prayers through this challenging short and terrible time of sickness and covet your continued prayers as we grieve our great loss.

We shall miss her dearly; however, she will always be in our hearts, minds and our everyday thoughts.

She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Donations in her memory may be sent to West Meadows Baptist Church <> or God’s Littlest Angels <> – two organizations that we have supported over the years.
