I had the pleasure of working with Maureen at Beau Meadow School. She was so kind, patient and genuine in her interactions with every child and person she worked with. Maureen made them feel special and successful. She spoke often of her loving family. Maureen will be fondly remembered. My condolences to her family and friends. She will be missed.

We were deeply sorry to hear of Maureen’s passing. She was an incredible lady-so kind and giving. I, Heather had the opportunity to work with Maureen at Beau Meadow for many years. She was dedicated to the students she worked with. She always made learning interesting and fun. She left that job but over the years we would meet on occasion and catch up on our lives. Her grandchildren were always one of the topics. They were definitely a source of pride and joy for her as were her children. Maureen will be missed. Our prayers are with you at this time.

Maureen and I worked together for many years at Beau Meadow School. She was an exceptional educator. My students were so very fortunate to have Mrs. C in their lives. Her warmth, compassion, humour and professionalism was very much appreciated by them. Mrs C was always available with a kind word, endless patience, gentle encouragement and many smiles for each one of them. We were a team. Although happy for her new career , I was heartbroken that children would miss out on her gifts and selfishly, I would no longer have a friend whom I could share the day with. Throughout our years together , we shared many laughs and sometimes tears over the trials and tribulations of our families. She loved her life!
May you Rest In Peace, Maureen, I will miss you very much. Thank you for your friendship.

My best memory is of her reading bedtime stories to Kirby and myself when we were little. She even went so far as to make us our very own ‘books on tape’ before she left the farm to live in Edmonton. That is who she was. All sisters are precious and when you have only one, that makes them all the more important. I wish you peace and please keep her in your heart forever.

Sisters are special, and when you only have one, they are extra special. My most treasured memories are of Maureen reading bedtime stories to myself and Kirby on the farm. Maureen was a beautiful lady inside and out. She was a cousin I always looked up to… she was spunky, athletic, a fellow farm girl, and she could hold her own with the boys in any activity. Vince and family….. so enjoyed working with Maureen my bank manager while at Scotiabank Pilot Sound branch. We called her hummingbird! Beautiful, quick, always going from one task to another without missing anything. Truly, one of my favorite people to work under. Easy to love and admire because of the goodness in her heart. She was working full time branch manager and doing her fitness instructor course. Hard to keep up with this woman’s enthusiasm!! Feel so sad for this huge loss in your life. God give you all strength and healing in the days ahead. Another angel amongst us taken much to soon.

Maureen was so compassionate and helped me through the death of another dear friend of ours. I heard of your suffering not so long ago and am praying for you and your family to be at peace.

I didn’t have an opportunity to interact with Maureen often as a fellow fitness instructor but when our paths did cross paths she always made me feel better about myself. A smile always and radiated kindness an attitude that made you feel at ease and relaxed. A person who was made of love and shared it with everyone she met.
