It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved father and grandfather Carl Lorne From, who passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the age of 75 years. Lorne was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Lenore From; brother, Earl From; sister, Carroll Edwards; brothers-in-law, Art Wirth, Ken Ford, Terry Graham; sisters-in-law, Marjorie From, Vivian From. Lorne will be forever remembered by his son, Randy From and his daughter Carla (Richard) Papp; grandchildren, Magnus and Arabella Papp; his brothers and sisters; Sue Wirth, Dorothy-Ann Junnila, Robert From, Noreen Ford, Dawn (Marion) From, Joy Graham, Harmon (Carol) From, Kendall From; brother-in-law Bob Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Lorne was born in Spy Hill, SK. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing or skidooing and quading at the farm. Playing hockey was a passion for Lorne as a young man, then he enjoyed curling for many years. Family was an important part of Lorne’s life; visiting his brothers and sisters in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Saskatchewan. After working in the oil and gas industry as a heavy-duty mechanic, Lorne used his ingenuity to design covered trailers for his own enterprise, Trailers Unlimited. The true love of Lorne’s life was cars, especially Cadillacs.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Colleen Friesen for her kindness, support and quick thinking that kept Lorne safe for the last number of years.
