CAMPBELL, William .H.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bill Campbell on May 6th at 87 years of age.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, children, Rob (Cindy), Kathie (Jim), Bonnie (Darrel) and grandchildren, Jason, Alan, Krista, Mike, Scott, Kyla, and newest great-grandson Colson.

Bill will be remembered as a real character who touched many people’s lives deeply. A consummate handyman who could solve any problem and someone who shared his skills and time generously with others. He was ever willing to help on projects and always made it a fun time. In his younger years he worked as a Public Health Inspector and took an active role in the community, serving in leadership roles in several service clubs and elected to town council. He loved his toys: cars (a Model A Ford was the first), motorbikes (a Harley), skidoos, quads, boats… you name it. His last few years of life found him cruising the southside of Edmonton with his new best friend on their electric scooters, putting on over 3,000 km! So many considered him like a brother or a dad because of his ability to make them feel special and genuinely cared for. He loved his family and had such a special relationship with each one of us. He will be so deeply missed.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to a favorite charity with him in mind.

My Scooter riding buddy
Bill & I purchased identical electric scooters about 3 years ago. We traveled most of the trails in south Edmonton almost every day with weather permitting.
We became the best of friends – we were truly compatible – never an argument – never a disagreement – always considerit and respectful of each other.
Bill was just a very special friend and companion.
Bill i regret your early passing in that I did not get a chance to say GOOD BYE
Your scooter buddy & friend
