It is with great sadness and much love that I say goodbye and must announce the passing of my beloved husband, Daniel Hector Callihoo. Danny passed away peacefully in the Royal Alex COVID Unit on January 10, 2021 at the age of 75 years.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Callihoo (Rink), two daughters, Vicky and Danette and his grandchildren. Danny is also survived by his sister gs Bertha Kotalyk (Barrie), Patricia (Barry Bradley), Valerie (Tom Molnar), Nancy (Brian Fischer), Linda, Dwayne and Calvin as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Danny was predeceased by his treasured parents, Myrtle and Hector Callihoo, his brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Tammy Callihoo and his brother-in-law Chris Thordarson.
Danny was a certified plumber and bricklayer for numerous years as well as a devoted Class I Driver until his retirement. Danny had a keen interest in horses and enjoyed attending Horse Races at Northlands Racetrack with his wife and parents. Together, they enjoyed many an afternoon untangling the programs and appreciating the time spent together.
We would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Johnson and staff at the Royal Alexandra COVID ICU unit for their profound support and care of Danny during his short illness. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Big Sisters Big Brothers or Stars or a charity of your choice.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Danny as soon as it is safe to do so. If you wish to send condolences, please visit Serenity Funeral Services/Obituary.
