BURKE, Delores “Dolly” Alaine

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our Dolly, our loving and devoted mother, wife and Nana, on November 10, 2020 at age 66, with the love of her family surrounding her.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her one and only love Jeff, her son Edwin(Virginia) and daughter Jolene (Dale). She especially loved her role as Nana to Beckett, Charlie, Sam, Emmitt and
numerous foster babies. As well as her siblings: Kathy, Jean (Emmitt), Ted(Johannes), Darlene (Pete), Janice, Gail (Benny) and Todd (Lynn) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Victoria, BC on October 15th 1954, Delores was predeceased by her Mother, Alice Pringle and her Mother In Law, Mamie Burke and Father In Law, Edwin Burke as well as several of her
precious furbabies.
Dolly loved to love on people and had an opinion she was more than happy to give you and we loved her sass and wit. She crocheted and knitted treasures for anyone she could. Her hands were
rarely still. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She loved the outdoors, fishing, bingo and creating beautiful things for friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date and time.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bankar and the nurses she called “her Angels” in Unit 5F4 at the U of A hospital.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Canadian Lymphoma and Leukemia Society of Canada or an animal rescuer of your choice.
