It is with sadness we announce the passing of long term resident Brenda Patmore in hospital on Wednesday June 4, 2014.
Brenda was born on September 3, 1954. She lived at home with her family until she was 6 years old and then moved to Michener Center in Red Deer. In September 1981, Brenda moved to Edmonton to be closer to family and resided at Eric Cormack Center. In December 2012 when Eric Cormack Center closed, Brenda stayed with RSS and moved to King Edward Park Community Home.
In her younger years Brenda enjoyed a lot of activity around her and people watching. She had a great sense of humor and took pleasure in being involved in a joke. She found amusement when someone would drop something or trip! She was a happy person and was often smiling. She loved swimming, enjoyed listening to music and liked cats.
When Brenda moved to King Edward Park she was in “retirement” mode. She enjoyed the sanctuary her own bedroom provided her, the slower pace of life, and the one-to-one attention she received.
Our hearts are sad that Brenda is no longer with us … she will be missed
A Celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on Friday June 20, 2014 at King Edward Park Community House 7127-79 Ave. Edmonton, AB at 1:00pm.
If friends so desire, memorial donations in Brenda’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
