Bradley Alexander Penny

-

It is with the most profound heartbreak that we announce the passing of Brad Penny on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre. As a true warrior, he fought well and he fought hard.

Brad will be forever loved and remembered by the absolute love of his life, his beautiful wife, Dawn and the amazing family that they raised. Together, Brad and Dawn opened their hearts to their children, David, Amanda (CJ), Jessie, Amber, Courtney, Chantelle, Carter, Josh, Jayce, Jayla and Lilly and expanded their love to their grandchildren, Lyric, Symphony, Harmony, Bradley, Skyla and Zeth. Brad will also be greatly missed by his parents, Dave and Irene Penny; sister, Cheryl; mother and father in-law, Bev and Morley Haggerty; sister-in-law, Cyndi (John) Millett and their children and brother-in-law, Shawn (Hope) Haggerty and their children. He was predeceased by his sister, Cindy-Lou.

Matthew 25:23 “His Master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

Dawn, along with her family would like to express their immense gratitude to the entire community of Drayton Valley, their Life Church family, close friends, all Doctors involved with Brad’s care, Tanya Hines, as well as Jocelyn and Megan from Drayton Valley Home Care for everything they have done to provide their family with the ability and blessing of having him spend much more time with them than expected.

A Service to Honour the Life of Brad will be held at Life Church, 5115 50 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Rye officiating.

For those who so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1Z2, or Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley T7A 2N8.

In the late 1980’s Brad and i worked together at Brandette,
Brad was a pleasure to work with and get to know,
It was clear that Brad loved his wife and family very much when he spoke of them at work.
Bless your soul Brad.
