It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, and grampa Charles Blum of Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away at home on February 17, 2021 at the age of 84 years after a short 5 week struggle with lung cancer.
Charlie’s memory will be lovingly cherished by his wife, Marie, of 55 years; children: Lisa (Pete) and Jennifer; grandchildren: Simon and Ruby; sister-in-law: Doreen, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Caroline and Otto; brothers Carl and Harold and sister Dorothy, as well as sister-in-law Mary and brothers-in-law Brigham and Bun.
A Funeral Service, followed by a Celebration of Life, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Grace Lutheran Church in Edmonton, AB, with Pastor Steve Chambers officiating. Due to COVID regulations, attendance at the service is by invite-only. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Charlie’s name to The Mustard Seed at https://giving.theseed.ca/donate/ or to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

So sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. He was always interested in what was happening here at the Lodge in Hanover of which he was a Past Master. He often sent emails of support and encouragement. We treasured his continued membership. A donation will be made to the Masonic Foundation of Ontario in his memory. Please accept our sincere condolences.
