With the shock of losing such a gentle, kind and humorous man we send our heartfelt condolences to Fay and the family. We were close friends that spent quality time visiting, playing cards, sitting by the fire and going to meat draws, where Doug volunteered to be our designated driver, know to us as our GUBER. Doug and I shared a common interest in classic cars and he impressed me with his knowledge of all years and brands. When we would go to car and swap meets, almost everyone appeared to know and appreciate him. He will be greatly missed by us and anyone who was fortunate enough to have spent time with him. We look forward to spending time with Fay and being there to love, support and help her when we can during this difficult time and in the future.

A true genuine man has been lost, i am very thankful to have spent the time I had with Doug
(my adopted dad / i adopted him and Fay )
I am going to miss that smile and laugh so much along with my daily text messages and jokes we shared.
We always talked about the car gods and now he is up there with them. (Well with the GM ones anyway)
I am also very thankful to have spent some of his last hours with him and will cherish the laughs we all shared.
You will be sadly missed…..
Until we meet up again
