JOSLIN, Betty Anne
On Monday, September 22, 2014 Betty Anne (Bets) Joslin passed away at the age of 76 years, after a long battle with emphysema.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dale, and by her children Mari-Anne, Guy, Darren (Tara), Barbi (Louis) and Nadine (Dean) Forsyth. Her grandchildren, Amanda, (Landon) Olivia, Jocelyn (Taylor), Tim, Dakota, Connor, Levon, Dylan, Duncan and Rose. Her great grandchildren, Kaydon, Autumn, and Jacob. As well as her sisters Fran Ostashek and Evelyn (Harold) Dickhout. She was pre-deceased by her parents Stan and Eleanor Lake and her brother Mark Lake.
Bets moved to Edmonton in 1956 and was later joined by her family. She worked as a teacher’s aide for a number of years in Edmonton, once her own children were in school, and Athabasca. Bets was a wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and mentor. We will miss her warm personality as well as her witty sense of humor. Bets welcomed and accepted everyone.
A memorial service for Bets will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Richmond Park Church, 9340-69 Avenue, Edmonton, AB at 2:00 pm.
