In Loving Memory of Constance Fay Ann Beck
December 9, 1928 – May 6, 2021
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Connie (Constance), on Thursday May 6th, 2021 at 92 years of age. Constance Fay Ann Beck (nee Sherwood) was born December 9th, 1928 in a rural area near St. John, New Brunswick. She was the eleventh of fourteen children.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family: her four children Fay (Jim), Warren (Della), Angela (Tom) and Wanda (Bob), twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; as well as three of her sisters- Kay and Janet (both in New Brunswick), and Thelma (in Ontario)
Connie was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Carl (in January of 2018); her parents, Annie and Walter; and ten of her siblings.
She was a faithful believer in Christ, and passed peacefully in her sleep. In her final days she was comforted by the love of her children and the knowledge she would be reunited with her husband and family in heaven.
Mom taught us a lot about love, commitment, and faith and shared with us our sharp sense of humour. Her memory will be cherished, and she will be dearly missed.
We would like to extend sincere thanks to the Home Care staff who made it possible for Mom to stay in her own home as long as she did. We are also very grateful for the care and comfort provided to our Mom at the end of her long, happy life by the Edmonton General Hospital, and the Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre.
According to her wishes, Connie has been cremated. Due to the current restrictions, at this time there will be no funeral service, but the family plans to hold a celebration of life when it is possible to do so safely.
The family requests that any donations made in Constance’s memory be directed to The Arthritis Society of Canada (https://bit.ly/3uPjBGf).

Warren & Della and the whole Beck Family,
So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. We know you will all sorely miss her. She was one of a kind your Mom. So welcoming, friendly and a sense of humor while not afraid to speak her mind! We hold some very special memories in our hearts… Connie and Carl celebrating your wedding in 1983. When the tornado went through Edmonton in 1987 and we couldn’t reach you to assure your safety, we got through to your parents who calmed and comforted us and we learned you were OK. When they babysat our young kiddos so we could have a night out. When “Santa” stopped by a of couple years ago and Connie was so overjoyed by the surprise! We have many fond memories of her at family gatherings, dinners and events over the years.
Her love and commitment to faith and family were both unconditional and unwavering.
Warren, you were so kind and devoted to your parents. You have been an inspiration to us . We stand beside you with our arm around your shoulder at this sad time.
Although her time on earth is done, her life in Heaven has just begun…We know Carl and Connie are together again.
It was a privilege to have known them.
Our Sympathy to all of her Children and their Families
