BAYER, Leonard

-

It is with much sadness and great love that the family of Leonard Bayer announces his welcome into the arms of Jesus at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and his beautiful wife of 52 years Irma (née Daudrich). He is survived by his three sons, Kenneth, Randy and Marvin, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leonard was a man of deep character – he loved his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Many hours were spent reading and studying his Bible. He was a hard-working electric contractor in the Winnipeg area for many years (Bayer Electric). He loved his family and generously supported missions around the world. His fondest memories were his many mission trips to Brazil, where he used his skills to wire, paint and make furniture. A memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, you can honour his life by donating to the North American Baptist Conference (PO Box 57235, Station A, Toronto, ON M5W 5M5, Canada), designating for Chain of Love (Children’s Homes – Brazil).

Joyce & John Assen

Len was a good neighbour from down the hall in Sienna Point. He always had a friendly hello when we met by the elevator. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

Rachel and Art de Leon

We send our condolences to the Bayer family at this time of the great loss of such a wonderful man. Len Bayer. Whenever we would meet Len, there was always a smile, a warm welcome and a very firm handshake. Even in his 90’s, Len was still helping people and doing work for others. We will miss Len greatly.
