Wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and community builder Georgina Marion Baxter-Gilmour passed over at the age of 79 years.

Georgina will be lovingly celebrated in memory by her husband “Gil” Gilmour; her children Connie (Robert), Terry (Brian), and Marty (Sue); brothers Mel (Vera), Glen, Ted (Debbie); grandchildren David, Kayla, Aaron, Clayton, Andrew, Darian and Jocelyn; her niece-daughter Tammy (Jack); nieces and nephews and dear friends. She is remembered by her Baxter family of Crossfield, Calgary, Osoyoos, BC and Great Falls Montana. Georgina was pre-deceased by her parents, Edgie and Marion Bowen; her sisters Ruth and Shirley; and her first husband Reginald Baxter.

Georgina bravely battled cancer for close to a decade, ending her earthy life the way she lived it, surrounded by the people she loved.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Devon United Church, 2 St. Clair Street, Devon, AB.
