A smile for all and a heart of gold
One of the best this world could ever hold
Never selfish, always kind
Beautiful memories he has left behind
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa Antony (Tony) Bawol on January 27th, 2022 at the age of 98.
He will forever be remembered by his children, Dale (Brenda) of Grande Prairie, Donna Canart of Leduc and Brian (Susan) of St. Albert, his grandchildren Carli, Lindsey, Tyler, Breanne, Todd, Landon, Eryn and Jillian and his great grandchildren, Parker, Dillan, Cash, Graye, Madelyn, Luke, Sam, Deklyn, Paige, Chase and Laiken.
Tony was pre-deceased by his loving wife Ann in 2014, his sister Elizabeth, his brother Bernie and two infant daughters.
Surviving near-fatal injuries in WW2, and being a proud Veteran and devout Catholic, all helped to define the man Tony was. He appreciated life and gave thanks every day. He was hard working, kind, generous, quick to smile and loved to make others laugh. His message was to be thankful for what you have rather than bitter for what you don’t have.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will be held at a later date.
The family extends their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Fletcher and all the staff at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans. Memorial donations to honour Tony can be made to the Kipnes Centre or the Royal Canadian Legion.
