With a deep sense of sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our father and grandfather Carlyle Thomas Basten on September 8, 2021 at the age of 81 years.
Carlyle will be lovingly remembered by his family, extended family and friends whose lives he touched throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held at Serenity Funeral Service – North Chapel on Thursday, Sept 16, 2021
at 1:00 pm.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Leduc Community hospital and South Terrace Continuing Care Centre who cared so much for Carlyle during his stay there.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Carlyle’s honour may be made directly to Diabetes Canada.

We have many fond memories of Carlyle. Our visits to Edmonton, fishing trips and an unforgettable night when our car stalled and Carlyle decided to tow us back to Calgary.
