It is with great sadness that her husband Terry and daughter Michelle announce Janice’s passing at age 67 on February 6, 2022 . Janice passed with her husband Terry at her side holding her hand as she took her final breath on earth.

She will lovingly be remembered by her devoted loving husband, Terry, and her precious loving daughter Michelle, son in law Roberto Borrelli; brother Richard (Jean) Malaryk; nieces Heather (Dave) and their children Oscar and Henry; Kimberly (John) Bosch and their daughters Penelope and Ophelia and their families; sister Lori (Kim) Filiatrault and their children Justin and Cameron; niece Laura Hill; sister in law Irene (Bill) Diachuk and their children Lisa (Vim) deHass and their children Rhye, Mason and Morgan ; Iris (Jeff) Hayman and their daughter Peyton; Trevor (Tammy) Diachuk and numerous family and friends.

Janice was a self taught computer programmer that spent her career working for the Alberta Government and ATCO. After her retirement, she was self employed creating business systems, bookkeeping and doing various projects around the house. She loved gardening, enjoyed designing and creating handmade jewelry and built many wood related projects for our home and for others. Janice and Terry were married in 1983 with her daughter Michelle by her side. After they were married, the three of them (Janice, Terry and Michelle) took many vacations skiing, going to Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida, taking driving holidays across Canada and the western U.S., camping around Alberta and in the US. Terry and Janice went on a few cruises and some golfing vacations. She took up golf in her 40’s and like everything she involved herself in, gave it 110% and became quite an accomplished golfer. For many years, Janice golfed in ladies golf leagues around Edmonton. One of the proudest moments in her life was when her daughter Michelle was married in 2005 to Rob and she and Terry spent many travels with them.

A viewing and visitation was held on February 10, 2022 at the Serenity Funeral Home by invitation only due to COVID restrictions. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Alberta Cancer Foundation (, Bear Valley Rescue (Horse Rescue) or the organization of one’s choice.                                                          LEDUC SERENITY 780.980.3688
