Audrey Marguerite Ingersoll (nee Bagley)

Audrey was born and grew up in Seal Cove on Grand Manan Island. She met Jesus when she was 9 years old and served Him until the end of her life.

She first met her future husband at his 5th birthday party; he failed to notice her for another 12 years.

Audrey went to teacher’s college and taught school at Aulac, NB and then decided to return to teach in her hometown in Seal Cove, NB. After a year, she realized the truth of Jesus’ words: “a prophet is not without honour except in their own hometown.” Audrey went back to the mainland to teach music in the Cole’s Island school area; met her husband to be, said “I do”, and headed for the North Shore of New Brunswick to help in a home mission church. After the girls arrived (Sharon and Carolyn), she became a homemaker, Sunday School teacher, nature lover and “back roader.”

Audrey was a listener. She was a confidante for many of her friends. This ability to listen was to seemingly become her job for life until her grandchildren arrived. She loved being a grandmother to Brandon and Gavin and enjoyed babysitting them while their parents worked. Not even her loving husband could compete with her love of being a grandmother.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Southside Church of the Nazarene, 10712 – 29 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Larry and family during this time of loss. We remember Audrey well, her quiet, and gracious spirit. Always ready to listen. May the God who has walked with you through the many chapters of your life, prove once again His faithfulness in all things and bring the needed comfort during this time of loss.

Peter & Judy Vanderploeg

Larry- now Audrey is in the presence of The Master. And we too will one day join her! We send our condolences and pray for The Lord’s comfort for you and your family. We were reflecting just very recently on how you would drive us in your pickup truck to Friar’s Restaurant on Tuesday “Bethany” date nights so Judy and I could squeeze in our coke float date after class and before curfew. Thanks to you and Audrey for blessing and touching many lives!

Larry, Sherry, Cariline and family,
We were so surprised and sad to hear of Audrey’s passing. We have good memories or your days with us at our first pastorate in Norton. Funny stories are a part of those memories, besides the stability and maturity you brought to the church. May your grief be lightened by all the blessings you have to be thankful for.

Larry and Sheri and Carolyn, we were so sorry to hear of Audrey’s passing. She was such a wonderful warm person. We have very good memories of you all at Bellisle. Two of our children are still playing the piano because of her teaching. We know that as our then four year old grandson said thoughtfully at Rolph’s funeral, “ Well he ( she) is happy, but we’re sad” . We know she is too, but our love goes out to you as you miss her. Love, Marvin and Paige
