Our sincere sympathy to Barry, Pam, Sheri, Norman your spouses & families. Most of you don’t know Gene and I but Gene & Ken both worked at Sears at Bonny Doon in the 70’s. In 1971 Gene and I and our baby girl, Shelley moved to your farm and lived in the 2 car garage next to the house. Shelley had her 1st birthday in that house. Both of your parents were special to us. We were a young couple…just over broke…and spending a year or so there helped us cope financially.
My fondest memories of your mother & grandmother was her laugh and her compassion and love of dogs. No matter what problem came up or situation we were facing she could make me laugh. We only seen your folks about 5 or 6 times over all of these years but fond memories live on in our hearts. I can still hear both of their voices and their laughs. How special this is? This is what each of you has to remember……the fun and laughter.
From my life I can only tell you that losing your mother is special for she loved you before you were born. Many things will remind you of her. Through your life experiences you will understand her even better than ever before. You will miss her….you will cry for her but try not to do that too long. She would not want you to do that.
Your Mother Is Always With You

Your mother is always with you…
She’s the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.
She’s the smell of bleach in
your freshly laundered socks.
She’s the cool hand on your
brow when you’re not well.
Your mother lives inside
your laughter. She’s crystallized
in every tear drop…
She’s the place you came from,
your first home.. She’s the map you
follow with every step that you take.
She’s your first love and your first heart
break….and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space…
Not even death….
will ever separate you
from your mother….
You carry her inside of you….
