Annie Nettie :Anne” Funk Dyck, age 64, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 20, 2015. She had had various health struggles over the past ten years.
Anne was born to Isaac and Martha Koehn Fund on October 1, 1950 in Winkler, MB. She grew up on a farm near Horndean, MB and attended school at Melba and W.C. Miller Collegiate in Altona, MB. Following graduation from high school, Anne moved to Winnipeg where she worked at Great West Life Insurance Company. It was in Winnipeg that she met her husband, Robert Allen Dyck. They were married in August 1972 and welcomed their only child, Steven Whitney, into their home on April 6, 1976.
Anne and Robert lived in various locations in Alberta such as Calgary, Medicine Hat, Nanton, Sylvan Lake, Red Deer and finally in Edmonton for the past 30 years.
Anne enjoyed travelling, eating at McDonalds with Steven, walking, soft serve ice cream, watching inspirational programs and visiting William Watson Lodge.
Anne leaves behind her loving husband, Robert; son, Steven; sister, Rita (Erich) Lindenschmidt; brother Tony (Elli) Koehn of Sonnenbuehl, Germany; sister Margaret (Edward) Maehlmann of French Camp, MS and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
