Annie Jane Shymansky

On Wednesday, July 12, 2017, surrounded by the immense love of her family, Annie Shymansky passed away peacefully at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 66 years. Annie was born in Edmonton, grew up in Warburg and spent the last nine years in Drayton Valley. In Drayton Valley, Annie became a significant part of the Beehive Community and was wholly supported by the incredible staff and many friends there. Annie will be forever loved and greatly missed by her mother, Nancy Shymansky of Drayton Valley; siblings, Mike (Candy) Shymansky of Edmonton, Vallery Raiwet of Victoria, Andy (Donna) Shymansky of Warburg and Terry (Lorie) of Drayton Valley; 13 nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews. Annie was predeceased by her father, Mike Shymansky. Funeral Services will be held at Thorsby & District Community Centre, 4813 49 Street on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Very Reverend Mykola Sawchenko. Interment will be held at St. Peter and St. Paul Greek Orthodox Cemetery. Memorial donations in Annie’s name may be made directly to Beehive Support Services or Cross Cancer Institute.
