Anna May Coleman (nee Smith) born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 12 May 1933, passed away on 07 September 2016 at her residence at Villa Marguerite, Edmonton Alberta.
Anna was the oldest of three children born to the late Wilfred Smith and Jean McDonald (Smith). Anna was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Coleman. Anna was predeceased by her brother David and her son John Douglas Coleman. Anna will always be remembered and loved by her brother Wilfred Smith (Norma); her children: Carol (Jim) Ruryk, Wendy (Chris) Willis, Calvin (Cheryl) Coleman, Terry (Paulette) Coleman and Cindy (Norm McLanaghan). Anna had many treasured grandchildren: Jamie (Tabitha) Ruryk, Sheldon (Heather) Ruryk, Matthew (Beata) Ruryk, Joey and Jeremy Coleman, Keithen, Bryton, and Janelle Coleman and Kendra and Bradley Doucette and also great grandchildren: Samantha, Alaina, and Maggie Ruryk.
Throughout her 83 years on this earth, the most important things to Anna and her biggest accomplishments were being a mother, a grandmother, a wife, and a sister. She has managed to touch everyone she met in her lifetime with true love and grace and her loss will be felt for an eternity.
A special thanks is sent out to all the staff at Villa Marguerite. Your love, kindness, dignity, and respect towards our mother will never be forgotten.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady Loretto Catholic Church, 183-Mons Avenue (located at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton). A reception will follow the service.
