I am still so saddened and shocked over Andy’s passing and my heart breaks not only for myself but for his family and his dear friends who truly loved him.

Anyone who truly knew Andy knew the kind of heart he had, the values he held, the happiest stories he shared as well as the sad. He would tell me how much his missed his dad and that his dad was his best friend. He also shared how much respect he had for his mother and that she was now his best friend.

When Andy spoke of love and pain, you not only saw his soul through his eyes but you could hear it in his voice. To me, he was truly a remarkable man and I feel so very blessed having had the opportunity to get to know him – although it was only for a short time, I am forever greatful for our friendship. Only days before he passed, we spoke on the phone for well over 2 hours and having this memory of such a wonderful, fun and heartfeld conversation with him will forever be in my heart, my mind and my soul.

Andy had regretted never having children himself and would ask me why he is working so hard because he did not have a legacy to leave it to. One night during these conversations Andy had decided to donate to The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program because he wanted these children to have a better life. Out of respect for my dear friend Andy Mielnichuk, I will give a donation to these children on Andy’s behalf because I know that is what he would have wanted and also know it would melt his soft heart and put a smile on his face.

My deepest condolences go out to Elsie and family. God Bless and God be with you all during these hard times.

And thank you Andy for enriching our lives – you will always be in our hearts and you will be forever loved. I miss you ‘peanut’.

Love you always,

Patricia & Angelica

Hi Eric,

I had only know Andy for a short time but one could not help loving him because he had such a wonderful spirit and as everyone knows a huge heart and smile. He so loved to laugh and I miss his smile his laugh his advice and looking into those beautiful brown eyes that just lit up everything around him.

Andy told me some of the stories about your trips and still always had a good laugh and very fond memories of them. Even though you may have lost touch for awhile….he never forgot about you.

WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS THE SHOCK AND SORROW when learning of this tragedy today . My heartfelt condolences go out to all of Andy’s family. Andy and I were like brothers for a few years about 7 years ago. We shared so many experiences, we traveled to Dominican Republic, Costa Rico and many other road trips. Andy was so full of life, help anyone anytime, wore his heart on his sleeve. We shared many personal topics, sitting with a drink on a beach or balcony. He loved life, we laughed so hard we cryed more times then I can remember. One time we white water rafted in Costa Rico, never made it past the first ripple before being upside down and all I could here was Andy laughing, while floating down the river, til we almost passed out. My god we had fun.He made everything so much fun. One road trip he drove my Corvette, my god I had to wait til it needed gas before I could get him out of the drivers seat. he loved that car.. Best, funnest road trip of my life. We could reminis for days together about the fun we had together. Andy’s sister Irene was my business manager and a dear friend, you introduced us Irene. I will forever be grateful for that, my heart wrenches at the pain you and family must be feeling now. This is beyond a tragedy, he so missed his Dad, Im sure they are sharing a beer right now. Although Andy and I were not close the past years, i can still here his laugh, see his huge smile and feel the kindness and comfort that always accompanied him. I can only say he must be needed somewhere else as he has left a huge empty hole here on earth, that will never be filled. Good bye for now, my dear friend, love you brother. I was blessed to know you.
