Alvin Marvin Scheetz

Alvin was received by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, early Wednesday morning.

Alvin is lovingly survived by his wife of 52 happy years, Hertha; his sons and their families, Dale and Sylvia (Anna, Sarah, Elijah), Mark and Cherie (Alysha and Kyle, Eric, Amy, Emily, Ian), Jeremy and Jolene (Isaac, Flynn, Rhea), as well as his daughter, Grace.

Alvin cherished his relationship with his surviving brothers and families: Arnold, Ewald and Bernie, Norman, Wilf and Kathy, Adeline, Carole. He also loved Hertha’s brother and family dearly, Gerhard and Janice Neuman. Alvin enjoyed sharing campfires with his beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Julius and Esther; son-in-law Warren Henderson; siblings Hertha (Sam) Ollenberg, Edward, Alfred (Dolores), Roland; and sisters-in-law Elsie and Linda.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, from 7-9 pm with brief service of hymns and prayers at 8 pm. Coffee/fellowship to follow in church basement. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Leduc.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 5012-51 Avenue, Leduc.

If friends so desire, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Seminary, 7040 Ada Blvd NW, Edmonton, AB T5B 4E3 or the charity of your choice.
