On Wednesday, February 21, Alma was peacefully called home to rest at age 91 years.
Alma made a commitment to serve God at Gospel Meetings she attended in 1966, and often spoke of deep gratitude for changes the gospel of Christ brought into her life.
Alma will forever live on in the hearts and minds of her children Ermina, Stephen (Vicki), and Vernon (Jill); grandchildren Tyler, Kaitlyn, Tatiana, and Maya; siblings Elsa Coppin, Winston, Alva, and Mervyn Warner; nieces Esther Byron, and Lesley Short; and many other nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Alma was predeceased by daughter Patricia, sisters Doreen Doughty, Muriel Reeves, and Nordica Gill, and brothers Carlton, Eden, and Stanley Warner.
Born in Christ Church, Barbados, Alma became a nurse in the UK before emigrating to Canada, where she served as a Psychiatric Nurse and Supervisor at Alberta Hospital and the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
A Funeral Service in memory of Alma will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 11:00 am, at Serenity Funeral Service North Central Chapel, 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, with Adrienne Sinclair and Brianna Drummond officiating.
There will be a memorial luncheon, followed by interment at South Haven Cemetery.
