It is with great sadness we announce of the passing of Allen (Andy) Morris Anderson, August 25, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Andy is lovingly remembered by his wife Hildegard, his children John (Mary), Brian (Lorraine), Wayne (Cathy) and Roxanne; step-children Alistair (Genia), Traci and Nikki; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other loving family.

Andy was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Solveig Anderson, brothers, Lloyd, Roy, Roger, sisters Gladys, Grace and Kay, first wife Jean L. Anderson and grandson David James Anderson Ayer.

Andy was born on July 17, 1922 in Claresholm, Alberta. He lived on the family ranch until he joined the Royal Canadian Air Forces to be a Lancaster bomber pilot. At the end of WW2 he joined the accounting firm of Peat Marwick in Calgary and went on to become a Chartered Accountant. He moved his family to Edmonton when he got a job as a Chartered Accountant with Canadian Utilities/Alberta Power (now ATCO). Andy worked for Canadian Utilities/Alberta Power until his retirement.

Andy was always active and interested in life. You could usually find him swimming, riding his bike, or puttering around his backyard.

My sincere condolences to the Anderson clan. I worked for Andy during the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was always fair with me and taught me lot in rate regulation for the CU group of companies. Thank you, Andy, may you rest in peace. Ron Betker.
