GLEN SCOTT ALLAN

-

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden passing of Glen Scott Allan on January 11th, 2020.

Glen will be lovingly remembered by parents Mel and Helen; brother Ed (Francine); and nephews Dillon (Danae) and Luke.

He was born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1969 and attended Edith Rogers Junior High School and J. Percy Page High School, where he enjoyed making music with his friends in his spare time. His creativity and talent for audio production led him to produce music for fellow artists in the community. Glen was widely loved and will be remembered as a caring son, brother, cousin, and uncle to his nephews who he loved. He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Glen’s life will be announced at a later date.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Glen and I were first crushes in school (Grace Martin), I like many, was mesmerized by his musical talents. I always looked forward to Mrs. Martin coming to the school because it meant Glen performed his best, in her honour .

I’m sure you remember when Glen got into trouble in Mr. Tindall’s class for “sword fighting” with our wooden rulers that had the metal strip, I still carry the 2 inch long scar on my arm he got in trouble for .. we tried to hide it, but the bleeding gave us away!! Hahahaha

Glen gave me my first 45rpm for Valentine’s Day 1982, He didn’t know I had no way to play it. I remember coming to your house at lunch with Glen, later on in Junior High to watch cartoons together. Helen was very kind to me on those visits. Thank you Helen.

I last spent time with Glen in 1987, he had a place in the Knottwood area, near the Grant McEwan community college, that he shared with others. He wasn’t doing well as I’m sure you know, I now wish I’d never left him. I’m so sorry.
