Excited by his next adventure, Bud Kerslake passed away in Edmonton, on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the age of 81 years.
Bud always had a zest for life. He managed to get a drivers license as a teenager, at fourteen years old by altering his birth certificate. Together with his brother, Bob they built a vehicle which took him on a wild mountain trip. He moved his family to Edmonton to pursue an electrical career in the oil patch in the early 1950’s. He was very involved in community sports.
Bud worked all over the world spending time in Western Canada, Germany, Syria, and Thailand; where he became a Buddhist Monk.
After retirement, he wrote a book and was involved in many other interests.
Bud will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all.
Bud will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Dolores Kerslake; three daughters: Cathy (Stan) Dezaeyer, June (Rod) Strayer, and Lori (Anthony) Weber; three sons: Doug (Doreen) Kerslake, Bill (Bernie) Kerslake, and Jonathan Kerslake; one brother: Robert (Ruth) Kerslake: four grandchildren: Corrine, Brent (Tracy), Jennifer and Jessica; and six great grandchildren, as well as the mother of his first three children Joyce Kerslake.
