Alice Ellen Lund


It is with sadness the family of Alice Lund of Fort Saskatchewan announces her passing.
Alice is survived by her daughter Norma (Rick) Evans; her beloved grandchildren Sean (Kristina) Evans and Jackie (Mike) Boivin; her four great grandchildren Reid, Madelyn, Chase and Olivia. She also leaves her in-laws Joyce Atherton (England), Ray and Gladys Lund (Red Deer), Christina Lund (Toronto); as well as her many nephews and nieces both in Canada and England. Her husband Mel and her siblings Reg, Jenny, Fred, Hilda and Eva predeceased Alice.
Alice was born in Manchester England coming to Canada as a war bride. She and Mel lived in Mirror, Alberta for twenty years. They thn moved to Edmonton where Alice worked at the CNIB and later at NAIT. In order to be closer to family they moved to Fort Saskatchewan where they enjoyed many activities with their grandchildren.
The family gives a special thanks to the management and staff of Rivercrest Care Centre for their wonderful compassionate care.
Funeral service will be held Friday January 30 2015 at St. Georges’ Anglican Church Fort Saskatchewan. The Reverend Maude Parsons-Horst officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Mirror Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Georges’ Anglican Church Fort Saskatchewan. Gord and Cindy Kadatz managing directors.
