Alice Augusta Kierstead (Liedtke) was born April 13, 1919 to John and Mary Liedtke at their farm in New Sarepta. She attended Prairie Bible Institute and became a missionary to South Africa with the South Africa General Mission for 43 years. She married Eugene Kierstead in 1962 and continued to serve in South Africa until Eugene’s passing in 1979. They were married for 17 years. After she returned from South Africa, Alice made her home in Chilliwack. As she needed more care she moved to Sherwood Park in 2008 to be closer to family. She passed away on April 10, 2016 into the arms of her Lord, where she longed to be for the last several months.
A Celebration Of Life service for Alice Kierstead will be held on April 13, 2016 at 3:00 at Sherwood Park Alliance Church in the Fireside room.
