Alfred was called to his eternal home by his Lord and Saviour on August 7, 2013 at the age of 101.
Alfred was predeceased by his two wives, Elsa in 1962 and Ida in 2006. He is predeceased by all his siblings except the youngest, Herbert (Erna).
Alfred is also survived by his daughter, Trudy (Elvis) George and grandchildren Carlene, Justin and Carmen of Penticton; and daughter Darlene (Richard) McCormack and grandchildren Alicia (Dustin), Melissa, Andrew and Shaun.
Sincere appreciation is extended to the 3rd floor staff at Millwoods Shepherd’s Care Centre for their compassionate care.
A Memorial will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 9419-95 Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chain of Love (orphanages in Brazil) c/o Central Baptist Church.
