Alf entered fully in the presence of his Lord and Saviour on March 30, 2018 at the age of 90. With sadness and joy in equal measure we celebrate the life of our Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Alf is survived by his 4 children; Tom, Barb (Rick), Monica (Mike) and Michelle (Burk), 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alf loved to work with his hands. He was a very hardworking, successful builder and business man and had a passion for painting and creating many beautiful pieces of art. Alf’s family was of first importance to him and he had so much love for us all. He will be remembered always and greatly missed.

Alf was a fantastic person, I had come to Edmonton as a teen, in 1967, I met Alf and he convinced me to enroll as a carpenter apprentice. Worked for Alf’s company for 2 years, he was a great mentor and a super human being. Some of my fondest memories, rest in peace Alf. Taras.

Don & Gwen Lawrence

We were saddened to hear of Alf’s passing. We remember him so fondly as he was one of our first clients. We worked many years with your Dad and respected his good business sense. He was a very talented painter and we enjoy one of his painting in our house.
Our sincere sympathy to all of you and we hope you will be comforted by all those great memories you have of your Dad. Don & Gwen Lawrence

Janice Albiston

One of my treasured possessions is a watercolor by Alf. I remember the day Carol and I visited his home. He was gracious, kind, humorous. We didn’t want to leave!
May loving memories bring you comfort.
May God’s love bring you peace.
