It is with profound sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved Colleen on January 25, 2018 with her loving partner, daughters and sisters by her side.
She will forever be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her partner Bob, her daughters Nicole (Malcom), Meaghan (Steve), Melissa (Mike), her precious grand-daughter, Macie-Marie and her sisters, Kathy, Diane and Janet. She had warm and loving relationships with all her nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and her many friends.
Colleen was predeceased by her mother, Mary and her father, Donald.
Colleen was known for her kindness and compassion. She had a gentle and beautiful soul. Colleen was a humble person who thought deeply about life, and through this contemplation gained peace and wisdom. Colleen faced the many challenges that life presented with grace, courage and strength. Colleen knew how to find joy in the simple, everyday moments. She had a subtle sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. She had many interests including music, reading, quilting and gardening. She was very happy in her home by Slave Lake, with her partner Bob and her dogs. Central to her life was her loving relationship with her daughters. She was overjoyed with the birth of her granddaughter, Macie-Marie. A foundational thread throughout her life was the supportive and loving relationship with her sisters.
We take comfort in knowing that our connection with Colleen is timeless and will be forever in our hearts. A private memorial will be held at a later date for the immediate family.
