It is with much sadness and love that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Noble Melford Thompson, who passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 94 years. Noble was just shy of his 95th birthday by 29 days.
Born in Camrose on January 20, 1922, he lived in the Hay Lakes District. In 1953 Noble married his loving wife Martha (Tomaszewski) and over the years they resided in the Camrose, Edmonton, Nojack and Devon areas.
Besides his loving wife of 63 years Martha, Noble is survived by his children: Brian (Veronica), Carolanne (Ed) and Janet (Dennis); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; daughter-in-law Lisa as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Noble was predeceased by his parents Martin and Nina Thompson; son Roger; seven brothers and two sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm at St. Maria Goretti Parish, 8 St. Clair Street, Devon, Alberta. Donations are welcome to Covenant Health, Dementia Unit at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, Unit 10Y – Forget me Not Garden or Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Interment will be held at a later date.
