On December 16, 2016 Alice Ellett-Ligtermoet, pioneer of South Edmonton/Leduc County, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years.
Alice will be lovingly remembered by her children: Roy (Marg), George (Barb), Gwen Koch, Janet (Dale) Reinke, Don and Tom; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister Wilma; brother Bob (Margaret), as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard; second husband Alex; sister Agnes; daughter-in-law Gloria and son-in-law Wilhelm Koch.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at the Sherwood Care for all the exceptional care and compassion shown to Alice. We would also like to extend our gratitude to her special friend Aleksandra.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:30 am at South Haven Cemetery, 5004 Meridian Street Edmonton, AB (access only from 76 Avenue).
A Celebration of Alice’s Life will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday December 21, 2016 at Mill Woods United Church, 15 Grand Meadows Crescent, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice’s honour to Sherwood Care, Sherwood Park Alberta.
